Summary
Source-backed · Version: v1 · Original
With all four members assembled, Nijika holds a meeting about making Kessoku Band look and feel more like a real band. The group discusses merchandise, social media, promotional photographs, and an original song. Ryo will compose the music, while Bocchi is assigned to write the lyrics. Eager to impress the others, Bocchi promises quick results, then discovers that every cheerful, youthful lyric she invents feels false or shallow. During a trip around Shimokitazawa for promotional photographs, Kita’s ease with cameras and social media intensifies Bocchi’s insecurity. She fears that opening an account would turn her into someone who constantly begs for attention. Later, Ryo finds Bocchi alone and explains why she left her former band: its members began chasing fashionable sounds until their music lost the individuality that had united them. Ryo advises Bocchi not to imitate someone else’s personality and says that honest lyrics can become Kessoku Band’s identity. Bocchi rewrites the song around her own loneliness, frustration, and desire to connect. Ryo accepts the lyrics and begins composing. Looking at the group photo afterward, Bocchi realizes that being in the band is gradually giving her experiences she never had before.
